At first I was a little taken aback by the description of the killer, because I thought he was the same guy who killed the woman in the first hour. Then I realized that this guy was also the dude who killed the woman in the second hour. It turns out they were both the same guy, but when he killed the woman in the second hour he wanted revenge on the town.

While it’s still a bit of a spoiler to reveal it, the killer is the same person as the killer from the first hour, but the second hour killer has been killed by his brother.

This is the problem with the traditional view of the killer as a heroic figure. We are taught that the killer is not necessarily an evil villain, but rather an avenging angel who’s been sent to kill our oppressor. But you can’t just put a vengeful killer in a story like that, because you’re always going to have heroes who are all assholes. The good guy in a traditional story is a hero.

I think we could do a better job of showing how the killing is motivated and executed. You see a guy who has an issue with a certain person. They arent trying to kill a person, they are trying to kill the person who is causing them problems. And for the most part, you can pretty easily assume that the person who is causing the problem is the killer.
