As a Tauren player, your character’s name is one of the most important things you’ll ever choose. It reflects your personality and it can also provide insight into the story behind your creation. That means that when you find yourself in search for a new Tauren name, there are plenty of options to consider!
#1: Your Character Is A Warrior
If you’re looking for a name that embodies strength, prowess on the battlefields, and an unwillingness to let anything stand in their way then “Siegebreaker” might just be what you need! This is also a perfect choice if you’ve already named another character Siegebreaker because this time around they won’t have to share anymore. If all else fails, “Brute” is also a solid choice.
If you’re looking for something that’s more in-line with the traditional fantasy name, consider names like:
Berserker (if they prefer melee weapons)
Axerider (a horseman and rider of axes)
Hammerfist (for those who wield hammers as their weapon of choice)
Bloodhoof or Bloodhorn if it suits your character better to be blunt and straightforward.
Axekeeper might work too! This is perfect if your Tauren relies on axes but isn’t quite prepared to take them into combat themselves. They can keep an axe close by while keeping up appearances as a crafter instead..or maybe there’s an axe-themed crafter guild they’re a member of?
If you want to go a little more traditional, try:
Ironhoof (for those who are tough and strong)
Stompshot or Stompjumper for someone with the ability to jump really high.
Bruteskin if your Tauren is especially hardy.
Farsight might suit them better as well! All this name means is that they have excellent vision even from far away distances which can be useful in combat depending on how many enemies there are on the field of battle. If you prefer something that sounds like it belongs in one of Tolkien’s books then consider names such as: Gossamerfur because their fur is similar to a gossamer silk that’s so fine it has an ethereal quality.
This is great for someone who prefers the lighter side of life instead of being burdened by their identity as part of this race, or they might prefer something like: Mottledfur (for those who are more mellow and calm).
Needless to say there’s not much creative freedom when you’re trying to fit into these names but hopefully some of these will spark your imagination! If none do then maybe put in some thought on what type of player character you want them to be including how well they get along with others, if they were born good-natured or evil minded from the start and whether they enjoy fighting just for the sake of it.
The following twelve tauren names are quite common in World of Warcraft, and they’re all pretty boring for your character to bear as their name too. To get around this problem you can use these ideas to change them up a bit:
- Make a Goblin (or Gnome) equivalent: ThexperimentofTralveksKrenkleson - This would be great if your Tauren was experimenting with something nefarious that no one could know about!
- Give them an orcish surname based on what type of fighting style they prefer: Quicksliverstoneblade or Stormsoulbreaker - It’s not so important who spends the most time out in battle, but rather
12. Quetzalcoatl - “Wing of the Morning”
The Aztec god that was related to wind, life and death. They are also considered one of the sky gods and their name means “feathered serpent” in Nahuatl languages. The story goes that Quetzalcoatl created mankind out of maize dough from a previous race called people without hearts who had white blood instead (that would be some scary stuff). He taught them how to speak but warned against eating honey because they might end up being as crazy as he is..and we all know what happened next!
Quetza- something boring? No thanks! How about Wing(s) of the Morning or Wind Rider instead?
11. Oriceles - “Earth-Riser”
This is the name of one of the Titans in Greek mythology who was considered to be a god of earthquakes and mountains. The story goes that he once tried to overthrow his father, Uranus (he thought it would make more sense for him to be on top), but failed because he couldn’t find any allies among other Titan’s children. He later fought with Cronos for control over their father’s throne and lost again when Zeus sided with him instead! This titan also had an affair with Medusa and caused her shedded head to turn people into stone by looking at them..not cool man! Still not convinced? Consider Earth-Risers or Earth Shakers instead!
12. Althor - “Stallion”
Aside from the fact that this name is already taken by one of Turalyon’s horses in Warcraft, it also sounds like a feminine noun meaning “woman”. This could be confusing for people who encounter him and no longer know if he’s female or male. Fortunately there are plenty of masculine alternatives to use such as Knight or Stallion-man! How about we shake things up with something original too? Let’s call him Raging Bull instead because he’ll bring the house down when you need extra power during battle. And they can’t take your nickname away so you’re good if anyone tries to mess with you afterwords! His strength will remind everyone why he’s called a Bull while his ferocity will make people quake in their boots.
11. Tashan - “Water Serpent”
No one wants to be associated with something slimy and icky like that! There are much better options out there for you, especially ones that can help your friends remember who you are. For example Knight of the Lake would sound nice- enough even for him to take over this role if needed or go back to being an Earth Shaker instead because they’re both water related titles too! You could also switch it up by calling yourself Raging Storm as long as you have some good lightning powers so everyone knows what they’ll need from you in case of emergencies.” King Tiger is another option for you, as long as you’re not a Tiger who’s more on the friendly side.”
“Tashan is one of those names that people will always remember. For example, there are few things scarier than someone called “Bull,” and he’ll be known for his ferocity instead. It also means water serpent in certain dialects so no one wants to be associated with something slimy and icky like that! Plus it sounds tough enough to break through any mountain!” This blog post about 12 Tauren names
