Blair Sullivan Cuje
President / Founder, The Surrogacy Experience
Blair is the founder of The Surrogacy Experience. She and her husband George have two daughters, one conceived through In Vitro Fertilization and the other via gestational surrogacy. Her vision and leadership are the heart of the organization and her personal experience serves as the foundation of the agency’s approach. Her personal commitment extends to each intended parent, surrogate mother and egg donor that works with the agency.
Blair understands firsthand how critical finding the right surrogate mother and egg donor are to fulfilling an intended parent’s dream of family, as well as support throughout the process. In founding The Surrogacy Experience, Blair combines the talents of experienced professionals for the support, financial stability, legal expertise and medical resources required to move through the surrogacy process from decision to delivery.
Michael B. Doyle, M.D.
Medical Director of CT Fertility
As the founder of CT Fertility, Dr. Doyle has practiced Reproductive Medicine in Connecticut since 1991. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology, with Honors, magna cum laude, from Brown University in 1980. In 1985, he earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where he received numerous academic honors, including selection to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1989. He completed his advanced fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Yale University in 1991, and began private practice there. Since then over 4,500 babies have been born to Connecticut area couples who have been successfully treated by Dr. Doyle, and consistently praise him as a highly skilled expert who balances his skill with a caring, compassionate approach.
Dr. Doyle has authored numerous articles, research papers and book chapters covering a broad area of fertility related topics, and is a frequent speaker at medical meetings and conferences. He participates regularly in clinical research trials in the areas of fertility drugs and in vitro fertilization (IVF). His specific areas of expertise include egg donation, surrogacy, in vitro fertilization, microsurgery, advanced laser laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, treatment of severe endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and management of male infertility.
Dr. Marcus Harbord
UK gay parent
Marcus Harbord and his partner Hugo have a son, Raphael, born in Wisconsin in 2010 through surrogacy. Together with another couple, they have built a website to assist gay couples planning surrogacy, so that all they learnt through the journey can be shared with others. The website can be found at <www.gaysurrogacy.co.uk>. Through this site, they host several gatherings a year for those interested in surrogacy and welcome new contacts. Marcus works as a physician and gastroenterologist in London, and has both higher medical degrees and a Ph.D. in biochemistry.
Tina Dettlaff
Coordinator, Carrier & Egg Donor Programs, The Surrogacy Experience
Tina brings the most valuable experience of all to her position at The Surrogacy Experience, where she heads the agency’s carrier and egg donor programs. She is a surrogate mother. Tina’s personal experience allows her to understand the intricacies involved in the surrogacy relationship along with the medical procedures, legal process, questions and concerns often involved the process. Tina’s professional experience in customer service and business management has taught her the importance of having strong partners and the need for customized programs to fit individual customer requirements. She brings these skills to her position every day at TSE. Tina is the mother of a beautiful son and has been happily married for more than 15 years.
