Michelle A. Keeyes, Esq., Managing Attorney

Upon graduating from law school, Michelle chose to focus her career in the specialized areas of surrogacy and assisted reproductive law.  Michelle oversees the drafting of surrogacy and egg donation agreements, makes court appearances to obtain parental rights judgments and consults with surrogates, egg donors and intended parents. In addition, Michelle is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company and managing the staff. Practiced in both litigation and business legal fields, as well as knowledgeable from her experience of being an egg donor, Michelle brings a unique perspective to her role. Michelle is dedicated to ensuring that clients receive the most comprehensive service possible in creating their new families. Michelle is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section Committee on Reproductive and Genetic Technology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and its Legal Professionals Group. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys reading, attending the theatre and traveling. She is also passionate about her involvement with Lions, Tigers and Bears, one of the few non-profit organizations dedicated to providing life-long homes for abandoned and abused exotic cats, such as tigers and leopards. Michelle serves both as a volunteer and Chair of the Lions, Tigers and Bear's annual fundraiser, "Between the Stripe



Thomas M. Pinkerton

Attorney Thomas M. Pinkerton has devoted his entire law practice solely to assisted reproduction law, including all legal aspects of surrogacy, egg donation, and sperm donation, for over a decade. He is a nationally recognized expert in this unique area of law, and has lectured, written, made numerous television appearances, and given frequent interviews and legal commentary on assisted parenthood. In 1990, he obtained the first surrogate paternity judgment ever issued by the San Diego Superior Court to a San Diego resident. It directed the health department to list Tom and his wife Darlene as the original parents on the birth certificate of their genetic daughter Kaitlin, who, following in vitro fertilization, was carried by a surrogate, Tom's sister. Tom was the first lawyer in the USA to obtain a pre birth order for a same sex couple in 1998. Directly after this, he obtained Europes first EVER PBO directing the courts to put the names of two men, Barrie & Tony Drewitt-Barlow, on a birth certificate.

Tom will be talking with Michelle Keeyes. Together they will discuss all aspects of the importance of obtaining the Pre birth orders.
