Dr. Lavy established New England Fertility in 1991, as the first non –hospital based assisted reproductive program in the state of Connecticut.
Dr. Lavy is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Lavy received his medical degree from Hadassah Medical School followed by a research fellowship in biochemistry.    Dr. Lavy completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine and specialty training in endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Lavy also served as Assistant Professor at the Yale University Division of Reproductive Medicine and directed the Yale IVF program before leaving to start the New England Fertility.
 
Dr. Lavy is a member of the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association as well as the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, Society of Reproductive Surgeons, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecology Radiology Society. He is also on the speaker’s board for Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Serono and Merck.
 
During his 20 year career in the field of reproductive medicine, Dr. Lavy has assisted thousands of families to reach their dream of building families
and has a  special interest in egg donation and gestational surrogacy. He  developed one of the largest and most successful programs in the northeast.
 
New England Fertility  has developed international programs to assist couples who reside in countries where egg donation and/or surrogacy is not possible .
 
Dr. Lavy and the New England Fertility were recently featured in “Google Baby” an award winning  documentary detailing the journey of Israeli gay couples who seek surrogacy services in the US and India.
 
Dr. Lavy participates in all aspects of patient care and coordinates a team of highly trained clinicians and scientists to provide comprehensive, compassionate and personal service.    His practice is research based, resulting in   innovative treatment and technology.
