Colin Hall - Mosaic Fostering Manager
Hi, I am Colin Hall Fostering Manager at Mosaic Foster Care and one of your on call advisors.
I started at Mosaic in April 2010 and I have concentrated on Recruitment and Assessments of Foster Carers. We currently have 3 approved families with another 1 going to Panel in March. We are specialising in solo placements for girls and boys under 12 with Sexualised Behaviour.
I am really keen on developing training with Tony as we have an ‘Ant and Dec’ kind of relationship which works well.
I qualified as a Social Worker in 1984 and worked for 7 years with Young Offenders. I moved onto Child Protection and Children and Families as a Social Worker in London Bucks Shropshire and Cornwall.
I have worked as a Social Worker and Manager in Fostering Teams for 10 years in Cornwall East Sussex and Dublin.
I look forward to meeting you all in the future.
Tony Hockley - Service Development Manager
Hi, I’m Tony. I am going to be part of the Team providing first line on call support to you in the future.
I have been working for Kitescs since May 2010 in the role of Service Development Manager. I work part-time, and am usually based at Head Office on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and some Friday’s. I also work from my home, which is in Cambridge.
My tasks centre on helping the organization to develop and grow, and I have began a series of interviews with Foster Carers, to ensure that you are able to contribute fully to this process. If I haven’t already, I will be arranging to meet with you over the coming months.
I also have a role in Safeguarding and meet regularly with Residential, Fostering and Educational practitioners to review progress and to help resolve difficult situations as they arise. I am very interested in developing training services for Staff and Foster Carers, and will have met some of you at our recent Attachment Training Day. I look forward to welcoming you to other events in the near future.
I have the pleasure of meeting regularly with Colin at Mosaics and very much enjoy the challenge of helping to support this new and exciting organization.
A brief note on my work history, I have been working in Residential Care since 1975, firstly as a Nurse, then as a Social Worker.
I have a long experience of working with children who have learning disabilities and complex needs and for nearly 20 years managed a service for Children who Sexually Harm, before joining Kitescs. I also have attained a Diploma in Forensic Psychotherapy as well as a comprehensive portfolio of other training. I have been a Foster Carer, many moons ago, and have supported on call systems throughout my career.
I look forward to contributing to the on call network and to meeting with you soon.
